I am on the road today but I wanted to share some of my recent favorite finds. I love reading blog posts where the writers share some of their favorite things, and I wanted to share my 5 favorite things that I have come across recently with you!
My 5 favorite things this week
Walt before Mickey
We watched Walt before Mickey, a film about Walt Disney’s early years last week. It was so good! My husband and I watched it, but it’s very kid friendly and older kids would probably enjoy it too. You can watch Walt before Mickey for free on Amazon Prime or Netflix. If you’re not using Amazon Prime yet, make sure to try it free for 30 days! This film is very inspirational, especially if you’re a struggling entrepreneur. Even if you’re not, it’s a great movie that the whole family can enjoy.
The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss
I read the 4-Hour Workweek on my flight to Hawaii. We had a 21 hour total flight including layovers, and I finished the book. It’s the best book that I have read recently, and I’d like to check out Tim Ferriss’ other books soon.
Pacifica Stellar Gaze Mascara
This might be changing gears a little bit, but I also discovered a new mascara that I love. Pacifica Stellar Gaze in Supernova (black.) My eyes are sensitive and I try to stick with more natural eye products. I have been using Physician’s Formula Organic Wear, but this is so much better! I am very minimal when it comes to makeup, but mascara is a must-have for me. I highly recommend this for anyone with sensitive eyes, or for anyone wanting to try a great natural product.
I talked about it in this post, but I’ve been using BoardBooster lately to schedule most of my pins. My traffic is increasing by quite a bit, and I am putting far less work into Pinterest than I was before. If you are running a blog and not scheduling your pins, you should definitely try it and see how much time it frees up! You can also click here to try BoardBooster free for 30 days! After the free trial, plans start at $5 a month, so it’s pretty affordable.
Kylo Ren Mug
Don’t laugh at me. I found this at Ross, but they also carry them on Amazon. I’m
kind of a Star Wars nerd, and I love coffee. Win-win! It’s also really large, so it holds a lot of coffee. There are several other Star Wars mugs, but my new kitchen is pretty small and I am trying to “KonMari” my house by only keeping/buying things that spark joy. By the way, the new “Spark Joy” book is next on my reading this!
So that’s it, those are my 5 favorite things this week. Maybe I will make this a “thing” and continue to share these every once in a while. Let me know if you like this kind of post, and if you’d like to see another one like it! Do you have any books, movies, or other cool recommendations for me? I’d love to hear about them!
