7 Best Farm Tours in Maui
Here are the 7 best farm tours in Maui, listed in no particular order. However, the top Maui farm tour that I book for clients is listed first!
1. Maui Gold Pineapple Tour (Haliimaile)
If you only choose one farm tour in Maui, make it this one. The Maui Gold Pineapple Tour lets you explore pineapple fields up close while learning how pineapples are harvested, sorted, and packed.
In this tour, you’ll learn the history of pineapple farming in Maui and get to taste the freshest pineapple you’ve ever seen.
This tour is located in Hali’imaile, right next to the famous Hali’imaile Distilling Company, so you can easily pair the two for a half-day Upcountry adventure.
While the Maui Gold Pineapple tour is easily the best in Hawaii, there are others! Check out the best pineapple farms to visit in Hawaii for a few more (on other islands).

2. Surfing Goat Dairy
Surfing Goat Dairy is one of the best things to do in Maui for families. They offer several tours, from interacting with baby goats to evening chores to regular daily tours. There is even an option to see senior mama goats who have “retired” and get to live out their golden years on the farm.
There is also a Truffle Making Experience and Cheese Making Experiences coming soon!
3. Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm
Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm in upcountry Maui is peaceful, scenic, and a great spot for photos. Best of all, it’s only $5 per person and $2 for military, seniors, and Kama’ina (Hawaii locals).
Hours of operation: Friday – Monday: 10 am to 4 pm.

Photo is property of Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm.
4. O’o Farm (Farm-to-Table Experience)
O’o Farm, located near Kula, offers some of the best farm-to-table experiences in Hawaii. Their breakfast and lunch tours include fresh produce harvested right on the property, plus locally roasted coffee.
The best things about O’o farms is the variety of tours offered, from coffee tours to farm-to-table experiences, and even private experiences perfect for a small event.
5. Kula Country Farms
Kula Country Farms is a family-owned farm that is a simple but worthwhile stop. You won’t find a structured tour, but you will find seasonal produce, strawberry picking (seasonal), pumpkin patches, and beautiful views.
Best for a quick stop, especially if you’re already exploring Upcountry Maui. I have a complete guide to upcountry Maui, so make sure to check it out!
7. Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory
If you love chocolate, this Maui experience is a must. At the Ku’ia Estate Chocolate Factory in Lahaina, you’ll join a small-group tour that takes you from the factory to the nearby cacao farm for an inside look at how chocolate is grown and produced in Hawaii.
You’ll see cacao pods on the trees, learn about the harvesting process, and then enjoy a guided tasting of nine award-winning chocolates.
This is a fantastic option for those with children and anyone staying in the Ka’anapali area!
Bonus: Butterfly Farm Tour
It’s not what you think of when you think of the best farm tours in Maui, but I had to add a Butterfly farm tour as a bonus! If you’re traveling with kids – or just happen to love butterflies – this small group tour of Maui Butterfly Farm is perfect. You’ll learn how the farm breeds native Hawaiian butterflies, plus there’s even a lighthouse on site!
