Work at Home Mom Gift Ideas
As a mom who has worked at home in some capacity for over 8 years, I know what makes a great WAHM gift! Work at home moms face a unique set of challenges. It’s tough to have work responsibilities, timelines, plus having kids at home on top of it! For most work at home moms, this is the reality! As moms, we sometimes tend to neglect the things we want and focus on things the kids want, things for the house, etc. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with this, it’s just how our brains tend to work. This means that there’s probably something the work at home mom in your life needs, but hasn’t gotten around to buying for herself.
The 8 Best Survey Sites to Make Money
I’ve been using free survey sites to make money for over 7 years. In fact, it used to be one of the top ways that I made money online. Survey sites are a little different than they used to be, but the concept is still the same. Share your opinion to earn cash or gift cards. I don’t use survey sites as much as I used to, but I still do surveys as a side hustle in my spare time.
How many survey sites should I sign up for?
If you’re looking to make doing surveys online a side hustle, I recommend signing up for more than one. Some sites won’t always have surveys available, or won’t have surveys that you quality for. Signing up for multiple sites means more opportunities to earn money.
If you’ve been looking for the best survey sites to make money, chances are you’ve come across a few scams. There are quite a few scams out there. You should never give your information to any company that you aren’t sure is legitimate.
September Blog Traffic Report + Stats and Goals
Last month, I started keeping track of my blog traffic, stats, and goals for the next month. I’m not including full income reports yet, but that may come at a later time. If you’re wondering why I would share these numbers, there are actually two reasons. The first is that it’s a way for me to see my own progress. I also find blog traffic reports and income reports from other bloggers to be helpful and inspiring. My goal is to be helpful and inspiring to new bloggers someday.
When it comes to earning money blogging, there are a lot of different paths to take. This post was inspired by some YouTube comments talking about how bloggers and vloggers earn money. I’m sure that most people don’t get their information from comments on YouTube, but either way, there’s a lot of misinformation out there! There are many misconceptions about how bloggers and vloggers make money. In the comments that I just mentioned, one user stated that the YouTuber in question got paid “loads of money” from YouTube. In actuality, YouTube doesn’t directly pay anyone! So, how do bloggers make money? There are four common ways for bloggers to earn an income.
August Blog Traffic Report + Stats and Goals
To be completely honest, I haven’t done very well of tracking my goals or progress in the last year or so of blogging. This might come as a surprise if you know me, I’m a list person. For some reason, I haven’t done a great job keeping track of things, and about a month ago I decided to change that. As you might know, my husband and I started a travel blog about two months ago. I wanted to move my travel stuff over there (a popular topic) and focus on what my audience wants to see, which is mostly parenting, finances, and general life balance for the busy mom. Every month, I am going to include a blog traffic report, social media stats, my goals, and life updates. Without rambling further, here is the August Blog Traffic report.
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing Review
I want to start out by saying that there aren’t many courses that I recommend. So many bloggers offer courses now, and the quality isn’t always there. One exception to the rule would be the Ultimate Bundles. Even if some of the courses in the Ultimate Bundles are lacking, there will be other courses, books, etc. The one course that I absolutely 100% recommend on it’s own is Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. If you’re a blogger or online influencer, you need this course. Not a blogger yet, but want to be? Check out my How to start a WordPress blog post to get started!
30 day YouTube Challenge
As some of you know, my husband and I recently started our YouTube channel. Yesterday, I started looking for a challenge or something that would help us get used to vlogging regularly. I wasn’t able to find a 30 day YouTube challenge that I liked. The links were either broken, websites hacked, incomplete lists, etc. So, I decided to make my own 30 day YouTube challenge! This challenge can be done at any time, but we’re starting today. If you happen to find this list, you can start at any time. Please use the hashtag #AB30dayYouTubeChallenge when sharing on social media, so that way we can find you!
I can’t take all the credit for this 30 day YouTube challenge. The 30 days was something that I put together, but many of the challenges and tags were made my others. I will link to them below. Mamakatslosingit made a great compilation of YouTube tags and challenges, and many of those were used for this post. Check out her list for inspiration beyond the 30 days. This 30 day YouTube challenge is great for new YouTubers (like us!) but could also be fun for anyone looking to make more videos on a regular basis. The challenge includes several day in the life vlogs, along with popular YouTube challenges and tags. This challenge was originally made in the summer, but feel free to substitute appropriate seasonal challenges or tags as needed.

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I do the majority of my work from home. If you’re new here, I blog here at amyfillinger.com and at Amy & Brandon Adventures (our travel blog), and I’m also a professional photographer. If you run a blog or business, whether working from home or not, you know that it can be crazy. Business owners wear many hats, and it can certainly be overwhelming. I wanted to put together a list of products and procedures that help me run my blogs and business (somewhat) smoothly. I don’t have it all figured out, but I am doing a lot better than I used to! My productivity level is up, and having a workflow process is certainly helpful. Whether you run a business, or you’re thinking about starting one, there is bound to be something on this list that will make your life easier! These are some of the best products for small businesses (and blogs) that I have found.
I just wanted to make a note that while some of these are affiliate links, most of them are not. Many of the products and services are absolutely free (or have free versions) and the paid products that I suggest are 100% worth the investment!

Well, I guess I missed my one year “blogiversary.” I started blogging sometime in March 2016. Honestly I’m not sure when it was exactly, but we can celebrate right now! As some of you know, I am a wedding photographer and this time of year gets a little busy. The good thing is now I know to plan my posts ahead of time for my second wave of busy (September-October) so that I can keep regular updates coming your way!
Welcome to my second ever blog income report. This March income report is my second report, and I plan to continue!
You might be wondering why someone would want to post their income publicly. That’s a very good question. The truth is, there are several reasons to post blog income reports. My personal reasons for post these income reports are as follows.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day, but how do busy moms get so much done? Coffee. Just kidding. Well, kind of. Coffee never hurts, right? I like to joke that most days, I run on coffee and dry shampoo. I may not be an expert, but I am mom who runs a couple businesses plus several side hustles, I have three kids, I have spent time as a full-time student, and I try to make health and fitness a priority! So I, like most moms, can be pretty busy.
The simple answer is that none of us will ever get everything done, but there are steps that all of us can take to get more accomplished.
