The 8 Best Survey Sites to Make Money
I’ve been using free survey sites to make money for over 7 years. In fact, it used to be one of the top ways that I made money online. Survey sites are a little different than they used to be, but the concept is still the same. Share your opinion to earn cash or gift cards. I don’t use survey sites as much as I used to, but I still do surveys as a side hustle in my spare time.
How many survey sites should I sign up for?
If you’re looking to make doing surveys online a side hustle, I recommend signing up for more than one. Some sites won’t always have surveys available, or won’t have surveys that you quality for. Signing up for multiple sites means more opportunities to earn money.
If you’ve been looking for the best survey sites to make money, chances are you’ve come across a few scams. There are quite a few scams out there. You should never give your information to any company that you aren’t sure is legitimate.
One thing to look out for
Survey sites should be paying you. Not the other way around. If a survey company is asking you to pay them, it’s more than likely a scam. I’ve been doing surveys online for many years, and I have never paid to be part of any company. Any company asking you to pay them should be a major red flag.
The 8 best survey sites to make money
Now that we’ve gone over a red flag for scams, let’s talk about the real deal! There are many legitimate survey sites to make money out there, but these five are my favorites.
Survey junkie is my go-to survey site. I have found that there are usually surveys available, and the payout is pretty decent. They pay out the same day that you request it, which is really nice!
I’ve been using Opinion Outpost for a long time! It pays better than many other survey sites, and you can cash out at only 100 points ($10.)
I recently joined MyPoints, and I love how organized the site is! You can earn points from doing surveys, but also from watching videos, playing games and printing coupons. It reminds me of Swagbucks, but it’s more user-friendly.
Even though it’s a little more cluttered than MyPoints, Swagbucks is still one of my favorites. I’ve been using Swagbucks for years and years, and I’ve cashed out hundreds in Amazon gift cards. There’s much more to Swagbucks than just surveys. For a more comprehensive look, check out my guide to using Swagbucks. I do think that the surveys on Swagbucks have gotten better than they used to be. Some surveys pay out really well, and it seems like there are always quite a few available.
American Consumer Opinion
American Consumer Opinion is another legitimate survey site that has been around for a while. It actually started by regular mail in 1986, so it’s been around for as long as I have! Like many other survey companies, you can earn gift cards for your participation. You may also qualify to test products from time to time, which is something that I’ve really enjoyed doing. Click here to get started.
With Inbox Dollars, you can earn rewards from opening emails, taking surveys and playing games. The best part about Inbox Dollars (besides the fact that they’ve been around forever!) is that you can get $5 just for signing up.
Toluna is another survey company that’s been around for a long time. Toluna has a slower payout time than many other surveys, but they have a variety of reward options. These options include PayPal payment or a check, which is nice if you’d prefer cash or gift cards.
It can be difficult to get on with PineCone Research, but there’s a good reason for that! Pinecone is considered by many to be the best research company in the industry. Every completed survey pays out $3, which is quite a bit higher than many other survey companies. You can also cash out after only one survey (300 points) and receive your payment via PayPal, check or other reward options.
I am currently testing several other survey sites. I will update this list if I feel like there are others worth joining. For now, this should be a great start if you’re looking for survey sites to make money. If you’ve made money doing surveys as a side hustle, I’d love to hear about your experience!
