Do you need a travel agent for a Sandals Destination Wedding?
Do you need a travel agent for a Sandals Destination Wedding? If you’re planning a Sandals Destination wedding (congrats, by the way!), you may want to consider a Sandals Travel Agent. Why? I’ll share that today. First, let me introduce myself. Hi, I’m Amy. I’m a Sandals Travel Agent and Gold Certified Sandals Specialist (meaning, I book a lot of Sandals Resorts!), and I keep you updated on all things Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts on the blog.
Contact me if you’d like more information, or keep reading to learn why you should consider working with a travel agent for a Sandals destination wedding.
Note: I will primarily use the term “Sandals” in this blog post, but please note that I also work as a Travel Agent for Beaches destination weddings. It is the same process as Beaches is Sandals’ family brand. If you want your wedding to include children, Beaches may be a better option. Contact me to discuss more details.

Travel Agent for Sandals Destination Wedding
Do you need a travel agent for a Sandals destination wedding? The short answer is no. Need is a strong word; you can do it without an expert guide. However, you will find that having a travel agent for a Beaches Destination wedding or Sandals Destination Wedding makes your life a lot easier! Let’s talk about why. So, while you can do it all yourself, my clients always tell me how much easier it is to give their guests my information. You already have a wedding to plan, and it can be annoying (and honestly, a full-time job) to try to help all of your guests with their travel plans! While you can call Sandals, it’s far more personal to have one person that you work with from start to finish. You’ll have my cell phone number, and can always email or set up a call with any questions. Planning a wedding is a lot of work, and I know you’ll have questions. That’s what I’m here for.
You can send me any travel-related questions. In fact, I also work closely with the Sandals wedding planners, so I’ll have all of that information as well. You don’t have to explain what the resort includes or deal with helping your guests with flights or anything else. I’m here for that!
Working with a travel agent for Sandals
So, how does the process work? First, we’ll discuss Sandals wedding packages. I recommend setting up a call to review details, but we can go through email if you prefer. Please note that I will always be in contact with a wedding specialist at Sandals, so I’ll have your wedding info as well to relay it to guests. We will work together to determine the best package for you- anything from an elopement to a wedding with 100+ guests. Once we’ve secured the wedding package, I’ll work with you to book your room. Once this is done, I’ll have a wedding code and can start booking your guests! Sandals has many perks depending on how many guests you have, and I’ll help you keep track of all of that.
Sandals has many beautiful destination wedding venues, like this overwater chapel at Sandals South Coast!
My process
On my end, I create a list with all potential guests and can start sending information. Anyone who is a “no” for RSVPs can be removed. Your guests and potential guests can email or set up a call with me at any time to discuss the resort, travel details, quotes, and more. Best of all, this comes at no cost to you! I am paid through Sandals on commission, and it costs the same to go through a travel agent or book directly. However, when working with a travel agent, you are 1) getting more personalized service and taking work off your plate and 2) supporting a small business at no cost. It’s a win-win.How to Choose a Travel Agent for a Sandals Destination Wedding
When you decide to work with a Travel Agent, only work with a Sandals specialist. In fact, you should ask your travel agent how many weddings they’ve booked. You can also ask about their familiarity with Sandals Resorts. A destination wedding is a big deal, and not every travel agent is an expert in destination weddings. I recommend working with someone who specializes in romance travel – like me! As a travel agent, I always pass along any trips where I am not a good fit. For example, I would pass along a trip to Japan to my good friend, who is a Japan expert, because I am not. However, not all travel agents do this. No matter who you work with, ensure they know what they are doing regarding Sandals Resorts and destination weddings! Many of us are very knowledgeable about Sandals and destination weddings. I’d love to help you, and we can always set up a phone call to see if it feels like a good fit.
Please note that I only take a certain number of destination weddings to ensure I can give your wedding the attention it deserves! Contact me today to check availability.
