Four Seasons Preferred Partner: Why to Book Four Seasons Hawaii with a Travel Agent
Four Seasons Preferred Partner is an invitation-only program for select travel advisors. When a Preferred Partner books your Four Seasons stay, you get daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit, and a room upgrade when available, at the same rate you’d pay on the Four Seasons website.
I’m a Four Seasons Preferred Partner and a Hawaii specialist. Below I explain what the program is, what you get, how it compares with booking direct or through Amex, and how it works at each of the five Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii.
Who am I? I’m glad you asked! My name is Amy, and I’m a travel agent specializing in honeymoons and Hawaii vacations. I’ve stayed at or toured all Four Seasons Resorts in Hawaii, and I book Four Seasons Hawaii for dozens of couples and families each year.
Being a Four Seasons Preferred Partner means I can give every one of them perks they couldn’t get on their own. Contact me to start planning your Hawaii trip today!

What Is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner?
Four Seasons Preferred Partner (often abbreviated as FSPP) is an invitation-only program for select luxury travel advisors. Not every travel agent qualifies. Four Seasons chooses Preferred Partners based on their expertise, booking volume, and commitment to the brand.
When you book your Four Seasons stay through a Preferred Partner travel agent, you’re added to Four Seasons’ Preferred Partner rate code. This unlocks a set of exclusive benefits that are applied to your reservation automatically. You still pay the same rate you’d find on the Four Seasons website. No markup, no extra fees.
Four Seasons does not have a points or loyalty program. Booking through a Preferred Partner is the main way to get extra perks at a Four Seasons.
If you’ve heard of Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts or other luxury hotel programs, FSPP is generally considered superior because the hotel prioritizes upgrades more.

Four Seasons Preferred Partner Benefits
When you book Four Seasons Hawaii through a Preferred Partner travel agent, here’s what you get:
Complimentary breakfast for two per bedroom, daily. This is one of the most valuable perks in the program. At Four Seasons Hawaii properties, breakfast runs over $100 per day. Over a week-long stay, that adds up quickly.
A hotel or resort credit. The credit amount varies by property and room category, but typically starts at $100. For suite bookings, the credit is often higher. You can use it on spa treatments, dining, activities, or anything else charged to your room.
A complimentary room upgrade, subject to availability. The Preferred Partner upgrades are prioritized above most other programs. You won’t always get a category jump, but it happens more often than people expect.
A warm welcome. Four Seasons properties treat Preferred Partner bookings with extra attention. That often means a personal welcome from on-property management and enhanced recognition throughout your stay.
These Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits apply at every participating Four Seasons property worldwide, including all five Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits at a glance
| Benefit | What you get |
|---|---|
| Breakfast | Daily, for two per bedroom |
| Hotel credit | Usually $100 or more per stay, higher for suites |
| Upgrade | One category when available |
| Rate | Same as the Four Seasons website |
| Cost to you | Nothing |

Is Four Seasons Preferred Partner better than booking direct or Amex?
For most stays, yes. Booking through a Preferred Partner costs the same as booking direct and adds perks that direct bookings do not get.
| Preferred Partner | Four Seasons website | Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily breakfast for two | Yes | No | Yes |
| Hotel credit | Yes | No | Yes |
| Upgrade when available | Yes, with priority | No | Yes |
| Who can book | Anyone, through a Preferred Partner | Anyone | Amex Platinum cardholders |
| Works with Four Seasons offers | Usually | Yes | Sometimes |
| A person to help before and during your trip | Yes | No | No |
You still pay Four Seasons directly with your own credit card, so you earn your card’s points either way.
What Four Seasons Preferred Partner does not include
Preferred Partner does not lower your room rate. Upgrades are not guaranteed, and villas and specialty suites are often excluded. Benefits vary a little by resort, so I confirm the exact perks for your dates before you book.
Four Seasons Maui at Wailea
Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is one of the most popular Four Seasons properties in the world, and for good reason. It sits on Wailea Beach, consistently ranked among the best beaches in the country, and the service is exceptional even by Four Seasons standards.

As a Four Seasons Preferred Partner and Hawaii specialist, I can also help you choose the right room category for your budget and travel style, whether that’s a garden-view room, an ocean-view room, or one of the oceanfront suites at Wailea.
I have videos of the resort, along with some of the room categories:

- 1-bedroom oceanfront club suite Four Seasons Maui Room Tour
- Four Seasons Maui Deluxe Club Oceanview Room Tour

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island is one of the most exclusive resorts in Hawaii. It’s a low-rise, bungalow-style property on the Kohala Coast, with a strong focus on wellness, local culture, and understated luxury.

Hualalai is particularly popular for honeymoons and milestone trips. I’ve booked honeymooners and milestone anniversaries here more than any other type of trip.
The Big Island is a unique island, but it isn’t always the right fit for every trip. If you’re deciding between Four Seasons Hualalai and another resort, I can help you figure out which is the right fit.
For more options on the Kohala Coast, see the best luxury resorts on the Big Island. If you’re still choosing an island, my Maui vs Big Island comparison will help.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina
Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina is set in the sheltered lagoons of Ko Olina on Oahu’s west side. It’s a great choice for families, couples who want a resort experience away from the bustle of Waikiki. It’s also great for anyone looking for excellent pools, beach access, and top-tier dining all in one place.
As a bonus, it’s right next to Disney’s Aulani and shares a beach so you can grab a Dole Whip or Mickey-shaped Shave Ice any time.

As a Preferred Partner, I can book Four Seasons Ko Olina with the FSPP benefits at the same rate you’d pay booking directly.
Here’s how Four Seasons Ko Olina compares with the best luxury resorts on Oahu.
Four Seasons Lanai and Sensei Lanai
Lanai has two Four Seasons properties, both worth knowing about even if they’re less commonly booked than Maui or Hualalai.
Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay is an oceanfront property with world-class dining and a stunning setting above Hulopoe Bay. Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort is a wellness-focused adults-only retreat with a Nobu restaurant and a spa built around the Sensei longevity philosophy.
Both properties participate in the Four Seasons Preferred Partner program. So, the same breakfast, resort credit, and upgrade benefits apply here too.
Sensei Lanai is one of only two adults-only resorts in Hawaii. I also have a blog post with 20 Best Things to do in Lanai.
Four Seasons Preferred Partner FAQ
What is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner?
A Four Seasons Preferred Partner is a travel advisor invited by Four Seasons to book stays with added benefits. Those benefits include daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit, and an upgrade when available.
Does it cost more to book with a Four Seasons Preferred Partner?
No. Booking with a Four Seasons Preferred Partner costs the same as booking on the Four Seasons website. Four Seasons pays the advisor, not you.
How do I find a Four Seasons Preferred Partner?
Four Seasons does not publish a public list of Preferred Partners, so you need to ask a travel advisor directly. I’m a Four Seasons Preferred Partner and can book any Four Seasons worldwide, with a specialty in Hawaii.
Can Preferred Partner benefits be combined with Four Seasons offers?
Usually, yes. Preferred Partner benefits can often be added to Four Seasons promotions like a free night offer. I check which offers apply to your dates.

No. Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits apply even to a one-night stay.
Which Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii are part of Preferred Partner?
All five: Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, Four Seasons Resort Lanai, and Sensei Lanai.
Do I still earn credit card points?
Yes. You pay Four Seasons directly with your own card, so you earn points as usual.

How to Book Four Seasons Hawaii Through a Preferred Partner
Booking through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel agent is simple. Just contact me and mention that you’d like to book Four Seasons with an FSPP.
One important note: you cannot add Preferred Partner benefits to a reservation you’ve already made. If you’ve booked directly with Four Seasons, you would need to cancel and rebook through a Preferred Partner agent to access the perks. Rates are typically the same, so it’s usually worth doing if you’re still within the cancellation window.
As a Hawaii specialist and Four Seasons Preferred Partner, I handle all of this for you. I know each Four Seasons Hawaii property well. I understand which room categories are worth the upgrade and which aren’t, and I’m available to answer questions before and during your trip.
