Where to find the best vegan food in Hawaii
If you’re looking for vegan restaurants in Hawaii, you’ll find them on every island. Some of the vegan restaurants in Hawaii on this list are fully vegan, vegetarian, or some have great vegan options. If you’re from an area with a lot of vegan food options, you might be slightly disappointed in the vegan options in Hawaii. However, if you come from an area with limited vegan restaurants, you’ll be very pleased!
In this post, you’ll find some of the top-rated vegan restaurants in Hawaii, or restaurants with vegan options. I have included a link to each restaurant so that you can check hours and menus before your trip.

There are a lot of vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants on Oahu. So many that it deserves its own blog post (which I may do in the future.) So for now, I’ll only list some that are very highly rated.
There are also multiple Whole Foods locations on Oahu, where you can get pre-made food or buy food to make on your own.
I was so, so sad that Cafe Turmeric was closed during my last visit to Kauai! They had several vegan options that sounded amazing and I can’t wait to go back and try it.
Moku Roots – Moku Roots is my top recommendation for vegetarian/vegan food on Maui. They have lots of options and use zero-waste takeout options as well.
There is also a Whole Foods on Maui. Maui is the only island besides Oahu to have this health food store that’s popular among vegetarians and anyone who loves healthy options.
