Which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows?
If you’re wondering, “Which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows?” This post has all the details just for you. If you’re planning a Sandals honeymoon or another romantic vacation and want the best of the best, you’ll want an overwater bungalow!
Sandals Resorts offers a lot for everyone, but if you’re dreaming of an overwater bungalow, there are only a few with that option. Please note that booking early is very important, as the overwater bungalows always sell out months in advance!
Every Sandals vacation is a luxury vacation. Each Sandals Resort offers luxury-included packages, and all room types offer:
- Unlimited Gourmet Dining at all restaurants on-property (there are no exclusions)
- Unlimited Premium Alcoholic Beverages
- Daily and nightly entertainment
- Motorized and non-motorized water sports, including sailing and scuba diving
- Airport Transfers
- Wifi
- Land sports such as volleyball
- Golf green fees at select resorts (bring your clubs or rent them)
- Free trip insurance (although this is temporary!)
However, several Sandals Resorts offer something even better: overwater bungalows! Overwater bungalows are often found in the Pacific, but Sandals Resorts is changing that and starting to provide them in the beautiful Caribbean.
How much are overwater bungalows are Sandals?
The price of overwater bungalows at Sandals Resorts varies depending on which resort you choose and the dates. Generally, prices are between $1500/per person/night (per person, per night) and $2000/per person/night but can be higher.
Yes, it’s quite expensive, but it’s definitely worth the splurge for a honeymoon, anniversary, or another special event. If you are planning a honeymoon, make sure to check out 5 reasons why Sandals Resorts are the best for honeymoons.
Sandals Grand St. Lucian
Sandals Grand St. Lucian is located on its very own peninsula. In addition to offering over-water bungalows, the resort also offers 12 restaurants, 6 bars, and five pools.
You also have resort privileges at Sandals’ other resort in St Lucia – Sandals Halycon Beach! Check the pricing for your dates here, where you can also view a photo brochure.
It’s important to note that overwater bungalows tend to sell out months or even years in advance. If you’re dreaming of an overwater paradise, make sure to reserve yours as soon as possible. I can hold a reservation for you months or even years in advance for just $99/person; make sure to contact me for more information.
You can learn more about the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia in my blog post comparing the resorts.
Sandals South Coast
Set on 500-acres, Sandals South Coast is the only Sandals Resort that is entirely beachfront and rooms (except brand-new Rondoval suites) are ocesn view!
Although any ocean view is excellent, you’ll want an overwater bungalow! These start around $1500/per person/night but vary depending on the time of year.
If $3000 per night is out of your budget, just know that Sandals South Coast is one of the cheapest Sandals Resorts for more simple accommodations starting at less than $500/night.
Sandals South Coast has nine restaurants, four pools, and 7 bars. Check out everything you need to know about Sandals South Coast here.
Remember that the overwater bungalows sell out far in advance, but you can reserve your stay for a much smaller deposit. Contact me for more information, and I can secure that room for you as far in advance as you’d like.

Sandals Royal Caribbean
Sandals Royal Caribbean, or “Jamaica’s Most Alluring Resort,” is the original Sandals resort located in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It’s one of the Sandals Resorts that are closest to the airport if you want to dive right in and start your vacation.
A section of the offshore island is set apart for nude sunbathing, but it’s not very well known. So, if clothing-optional sunbathing is not for you, don’t worry! You won’t find this part of the beach unless you’re looking for it.
Sandals Royal Caribbean offers the previously mentioned offshore island, nine restaurants, and exchange privileges with nearby Sandals Resorts.
Pricing at Sandals Royal Caribbean starts at around $300/per person/night for a basic room. Overwater bungalows begin around $1700/pp/night. You can check for specials at Sandals Royal Caribbean here. As with the other Sandals overwater bungalows, the overwater bungalows at Sandals Royal Caribbean sell out in advance.

Sandals Saint Vincent
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – Sandals newest resort – is located in the Southeast Caribbean near Barbados, St. Lucia, and Grenada, also home to Sandals Resorts. The best part is this gorgeous resort is nestled amongst the mountains. The neighboring rainforest adds a lush background with stunning views.
You can stay in overwater villas, which is arguably the nicest Sandals has ever done! There are even in-suite fitness rooms for those who love to workout while on vacation.
The bedroom offers a glass floor. It is perfect for watching the marine life below—lounge in the tranquility tub or hanging daybed when you want to relax. Spending time on the deck also allows relaxing while appreciating the views. You may be happy with one of the swim-up suites if you don’t want to be directly over the Caribbean.

I hope this post helped you find the Sandals Resorts with overwater bungalows. If you’re planning a honeymoon or another romantic vacation to St. Lucia, Saint Vincent, or Jamaica, an overwater bungalow may be closer than you think!
If an overwater bungalow isn’t available or is outside of your budget, I’d recommend staying in another Butler suite category room. Butler suites offer even more amenities than what is already included at Sandals.
A butler suite makes for a perfect honeymoon or anniversary vacation. Contact me to see if a Butler suite is the best option for your Sandals honeymoon or vacation.
