Hawaii all-inclusive resorts, do they exist?
So you’re considering a Hawaii vacation, and you’re wondering about Hawaii all-inclusive resorts. Does Hawaii have all-inclusive resorts? Today, I will answer that question and tell you everything you need to know about all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii.
Before we get started, let me introduce myself. My name is Amy, and I’m a Hawaii Travel Agent. I’m one of the top travel agents for Hawaii, and creating amazing custom trips in Hawaii is my passion! Contact me today if you’d like help planning and booking your Hawaii vacation!

By the way, you probably need a rental car in Hawaii! I recommend Discount Hawaii Car Rental. They offer the best prices on rental cars, and you can reserve now and pay upon arrival. It’s optional on Oahu but still recommended. On any other island, a rental car is a must.
Does Hawaii have all-inclusive resorts?
So, are there all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii? In short, no. There are absolutely no all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii. In fact, there aren’t any all-inclusive resorts in the US. There are a couple of “almost” all-inclusive resorts in Florida and the US Virgin Islands, but even those are not what you’d expect from all-inclusive resorts and are either 1) very expensive or 2) not rated well.
There are also no all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Rico and definitely no all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii.

Koloa Landing Resort is not all-inclusive, but it’s one of the best resorts in Kauai!
Why are there no all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii?
So, why are there no all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii? There are several factors, but they all come down to cost and the fact that Hawaii does not need all-inclusive resorts. The average hotel price in Hawaii is just under $400 per night. All-inclusive resorts are typically located in areas with lower cost of living and lower wages. Hawaii is the opposite, with a much higher cost of living than most of the mainland.

If you want the best pricing in Hawaii, Waikiki is the place to go. Oahu has a lot more resorts and hotels, which means more availability and more competitive pricing. Oahu isn’t for everyone, but it’s the best option if you’re planning a Hawaii vacation on a budget. Hyatt Regency Waikiki has a great Regency Club (more on that later), which includes some food!
Also, all-inclusive resorts are meant to be, well, all-inclusive, and you don’t even need to leave. That would be a shame in Hawaii! I love resorts in Hawaii, such as the Andaz Maui at Wailea, but even though resort days are wonderful, it’s still nice to leave and enjoy the Road to Hana, Molokini Crater, or many other things to do in Maui.

Is there anything close to all-inclusive in Hawaii?
So, now you know that Hawaii has no all-inclusive resorts, but is there anything close to all-inclusive? While you won’t likely find resorts with all food and drinks included, some resorts occasionally offer food (and, more rarely, beverage) packages.
If you have a good budget, the best way to get closer to all-inclusive is to book a club-level room in a Hawaii resort that offers it. Four Seasons Maui has one of the best clubs I’ve ever seen, while there are more budget-friendly resorts like Outrigger Kona with nice club levels.

What does club level include in Hawaii?
It will vary from resort to resort, but generally, club-level at Hawaii resorts includes breakfast. Many also offer grab-and-go snacks and appetizers, drinks, or desserts. It truly varies depending on the resort. If you’d like to discuss club-level options at various resorts in Hawaii, contact me! I’d love to help.
While most do not include drinks, the breakfast and evening appetizers are often enough to make two meals, and then you just have to worry about a mid-day meal! The Grand Hyatt Kauai has a great breakfast, grab-and-go snacks in the afternoon, and appetizers in the evening. I typically get by with just a small lunch when staying there.

More semi-all-inclusive options in Hawaii
A few resorts offer something close to all-inclusive, although not exactly. For example, sometimes the Hilton Waikoloa offers rates that include all means. This is not one of my favorite resorts, but it can be a good option for some.
Due to the remote location, the Hana-Maui Resort also offers packages with meals included. The Restaurant here is also fantastic!

While a Hawaii cruise is not for everyone, it can be a great way to see multiple islands in Hawaii in just one week. As a bonus, all of your food is included. Check out my blog post about the pros and cons of a Hawaii cruise to learn more.
Hawaii all-inclusive resorts, do they exist?
Unfortunately, no Hawaii all-inclusive resorts exist, but I encourage you to get out and explore as much as you can in Hawaii. If you love all-inclusive, check out my post about some of my favorites, such as Hyatt Zilara Cancun or Sandals Saint Vincent.
