Which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows?
If you’re wondering, “Which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows?” this guide has everything you need. If you’re planning a Sandals honeymoon or adults-only vacation, an overwater bungalow is the ultimate luxury choice.
While Sandals Resorts offer plenty for every type of traveler, only a few locations have overwater bungalows. Booking early is key; these suites often sell out months in advance.
Every Sandals vacation is luxury included. All resorts offer packages that include:
-
Unlimited gourmet dining at every on-property restaurant
-
Unlimited premium alcoholic beverages
-
Daily and nightly entertainment
-
Motorized and non-motorized water sports, including sailing and scuba diving
-
Airport transfers
-
Wifi
-
Land sports like volleyball
-
Golf green fees at select resorts (bring your clubs or rent them)
-
Free trip insurance (currently offered for a limited time)
But for something truly unforgettable, a few Sandals Resorts go even further with overwater bungalows. Found in St. Lucia, Saint Vincent, and Jamaica, these bungalows allow you to enjoy crystal-clear waters and stunning views right from your private deck.

How much are overwater bungalows at Sandals?
The price of overwater bungalows at Sandals Resorts varies by resort and dates. Generally, prices are $ 2,000 per person/night and can be higher depending on the season.
Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s definitely worth the splurge for a honeymoon, anniversary, or another special event. If you are planning a honeymoon, make sure to check out the 5 reasons why Sandals Resorts are the best for honeymoons.
Sandals Grand St. Lucian
Sandals Grand St. Lucian is located on its own peninsula. In addition to offering over-water bungalows, the resort also offers 12 restaurants, 6 bars, and five pools.
You also have resort privileges at Sandals’ other resorts in St. Lucia. Check the pricing for your dates here, where you can also view a photo brochure.
It’s important to note that overwater bungalows tend to sell out months or even years in advance. If you’re dreaming of an overwater paradise, make sure to reserve yours as soon as possible. I can hold a reservation for you months or even years in advance, and pricing varies based on availability.
You can learn more about the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia in my blog post comparing the resorts.

Sandals South Coast
Set on 500 acres, Sandals South Coast is the only Sandals Resort that is entirely beachfront, and rooms (except for the newer Rondoval suites) are ocean-view!
If $4000+ per night is out of your budget, just know that Sandals South Coast is one of the cheapest Sandals Resorts for more simple accommodations starting at less than $600/night.
Sandals South Coast has nine restaurants, four pools, and 7 bars. Check out everything you need to know about Sandals South Coast here.
Remember that the overwater bungalows sell out far in advance, but you can reserve your stay for a much smaller deposit. Contact me for more information, and I can secure that room for you as far in advance as you’d like.

Sandals Royal Caribbean
Sandals Royal Caribbean, or “Jamaica’s Most Alluring Resort,” is the original Sandals resort located in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It’s one of the Sandals Resorts that are closest to the airport if you want to dive right in and start your vacation.
A section of the offshore island is set apart for nude sunbathing, but it’s not very well known. So, if clothing-optional sunbathing is not for you, don’t worry! You won’t find this part of the beach unless you’re looking for it.

Sandals Royal Caribbean offers the previously mentioned offshore island, nine restaurants, and exchange privileges with nearby Sandals Resorts.
Pricing at Sandals Royal Caribbean starts at around $400/per person/night for a basic room. Overwater bungalows begin around $2000/pp/night. You can check for specials at Sandals Royal Caribbean here. As with the other Sandals overwater bungalows, the overwater bungalows at Sandals Royal Caribbean sell out in advance.

Sandals Saint Vincent
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sandals’ newest resort, is located in the Southeast Caribbean, near Barbados, St. Lucia, and Grenada, which are also home to Sandals Resorts.
You can stay in overwater villas, which is arguably the nicest Sandals has ever done! Boasting two-story overwater villas, they are unlike anything else on this list! There are even in-suite fitness rooms for those who love to work out while on vacation.

Which Sandals Resorts have overwater bungalows?
Sandals Resorts offers something for everyone, but if you’re dreaming of an overwater bungalow, there are only a few with that option.
I hope this post helped you find the Sandals Resorts with overwater bungalows. If you’re planning a honeymoon or another romantic vacation to St. Lucia, Saint Vincent, or Jamaica, an overwater bungalow may be closer than you think!
If an overwater bungalow isn’t available or is outside of your budget, I’d recommend staying in another Butler suite category room.
Butler suites offer even more amenities than what is already included at Sandals. You can check out Sandals Resort Room Categories – Luxury vs. Club vs. Butler to learn more about the room categories.
A butler suite makes for a perfect honeymoon or anniversary vacation. Contact me to see if a Butler suite is the best option for your Sandals honeymoon or vacation.
